The following forms should be used only by Beaumont Hospital-Farmington Hills, Community EMS, and Botsford Commons employees, physicians, and residents.
Remote access provides off-campus (home, office, or on-the-go) access to all Beaumont Medical Libraries' online collections of journals, books, and databases.
When you are off campus, select a specific resource from the Farmington Hills Medical Library, such as a database or the journal list. Once selected, you will be prompted with a Remote Access Login page. Enter your Beaumont email and password. This is same email address you use for your Beaumont email and password you use to login into the computer on campus. Click on yes to remain logged in.
For those without a Beaumont email, use your BeaumontID@beaumont.org as your email address. Example: email@example.com and then your password.
If you have problems signing in or don't know your password, click on the "Can't access your account" link or contact the Beaumont IT Help Desk at 1-888-421-2448.
Recommendations are welcome. Our library facility has computer stations with Internet access, study tables, and casual seating.
Physicians and personnel can request a search for information for their work.
Use our Ask-A-Librarian form to request instruction on the use of any library resource or request a tour. Students working on school assignments will be given suggestions of which resources to use and shown how to use them. See a description of the electronic resources.
EndNote is a software program that allows you to create, manage, and store bibliographic references for easy access and sharing. This software is loaded on one computers in the Medical Library. Ask the staff for assistance.
The Medical Library will proctor your exam. Contact us at 947-521-8434 or firstname.lastname@example.org to make arrangements
Physicians and personnel may register for a library barcode. This barcode allows them to borrow library materials.
Request Books and Articles
Physicians and personnel may request books or articles from outside sources for their work.
Portable Laptop and Projector
A portable laptop with projector can be checked out.
A variety of health information resources is available for patients and their families, both in the Library and on the Beaumont website. The Library is open to the public.
The computer stations in our Library have Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint. Scanners and printers are available.
